Ho`ala's after school program welcomes Bethany Templin as the new Program Coordinator! Bethany is a North Shore resident who recently arrived from Texas. From the start, she has been warm and welcoming, a ray of sunshine during this rainy Wahiawa season. Her creative energy promised a good deal of fun in the upcoming months!
Some highlights from our first semester include:
DECEMBER: Students enjoyed a "Winter Party," complete with "sledding" down the hill, a giant igloo-making activity, and a bouncy house. (Mahalo Brian!)
NOVEMBER: Ho`ala Plus hosted full-day excursions during conference week that included several holes-in-one at the "Bay View Mini Golf" course in Kaneohe and lots of bouncing and rock climbing at "What's Up Gymnastics."
OCTOBER: Ho`ala Plus students created a monsterously-large monster from folded paper and cvp piping, and strung it up the flagpole in celebration of Halloween.
SEPTEMBER: Ho`ala Plus started the year with many games of four square scheduled between several "roller days" and "remote control car days."
